Our story begins with an ordinary lion cub that is born on a vast savannah in Africa. Enjoying a carefree childhood playing with his fellow cubs the days pass by peacefully. Until one day the entire pack was put to the test. Out of nowhere they were attacked by a group of poachers. Those who could fight tried to resist them, and those who couldn't tried to escape, but without any success...

Only one cub managed to escape and he would have to watch from a distance how his whole pack was either captured or killed.

Nothing was left of the once so close and strong pack, the young lion was on his own…

The following days pass by feeding off of carcasses and as good as dried up puddles of water. And just when he thought he wouldn't make it he sees a glimpse of what looks to be some sort of oasis. Relieved and excited he sprints to the oasis, jumps in the pond and drinks the fresh water. In his enthusiasm he steps a little too deep and the water suddenly starts morphing into a vortex. It grabs him and although he tried to resist it it pulls him to the bottom. In flashes, the young lion sees his life and the pack's struggle go by followed by a bright white light.

Disillusioned the lion regains consciousness and looks around. Sunbeams sparkle in his eyes and the wind blows through his small mane. In a moment he thinks he is on what the elder in the group would call "The Eternal Hunting Grounds". But the young lion would quickly find out he was mistaken, he was still alive he just managed to discover one of the best preserved places on earth.

After some months of solitude in paradise another young lion appeared, and soon after another one and then another one. New lions kept pouring in each with their own story. These lions formed a close bond and made the foundation for what we know today as The Meta Lion Kingdom!
